TERACHEM 2022 Keynote Speakers
Prof. Carolyn Anderson
Carolyn Anderson is the Simón-Ellebracht Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Professor of Radiology at the University of Missouri. Her lab performs the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of novel radiometal-based radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging and targeted radiotherapy of cancer and other diseases. A current focus of her research lab is the development of imaging agents for up-regulated receptors on immune cells that are involved in inflammation related primary tumor growth and cancer metastasis, and sickle cell disease.
Prof. John Valliant
Dr. John Valliant is a Professor at McMaster University and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the targeted alpha therapy company, Fusion Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Fusion, John founded and was the CEO of the Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization (CPDC), a national centre of excellence in radiopharmaceutical development, manufacturing and commercialization. John’s research focuses on new radiolabeling and radiopharmaceutical discovery methods where he has published and presented over 200 papers and invited talks. John completed his PhD in Chemistry at McMaster University in 1997, and followed with a post-doctoral fellowship under the joint supervision of professors Alun G. Jones (Harvard) and Alan Davison (MIT).
Prof. Frank Rösch
Since 1996, Frank Rösch has held a professorship at the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry, Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, Germany. His scientific focus is on physico-chemistry, radiochemistry and radiopharmaceutical chemistry of metallic radionuclides and their compounds in diagnostic and therapeutic application. He completed his PhD in 1984 at the TU Dresden. He was a Research Assistant at the TU Dresden and the VIK in Dubna, Russia, ZfK Rossendorf and FZ Jülich Germany from 1981-1995. He has more than 300 publications in peer reviewed journals and is author of several books and book chapters on radiochemistry and radiopharmaceutical chemistry
