SRS Student Member Travel Support
(for meetings not hosted by the SRS)
Welcome to a new travel awards page of the Society for Radiopharmaceutical Sciences (SRS). We are excited to introduce a new initiative dedicated to providing travel support for member students and post-docs attending non-SRS educational events and is distinct from travel assistance offered for CAFACHEM 2024 and iSRS 2025 events.
$18,000 USD is still available
Requirements/Eligibility Criteria for Students:
To be considered for travel support, the eligible applicant must:
Be a current SRS member
Be a pre-doctoral graduate student or a postdoctoral fellow within three years of being awarded a graduate degree (with allowance for breaks like parental breaks)
Seek support to attend and/or be the presenting author of an accepted abstract at a program with strong educational content. Attending as a presenting author is looked upon favorably. An exception to this rule is if someone is requesting support to attend a certified training course.
Complete a Travel Award Application Form
Provide CV and a support letter from their supervisor
Note: Travel Award applications sent by email will NOT be considered.
Other conditions:
There is no deadline for application submissions; however, awards will be granted continuously until the allocated funds are exhausted.
Applicants are limited to one support payment per year (limited to $1,000 USD).
Support for attendance at certified training courses is limited to one application per student, and the total annual support for training courses is limited to $5,000 USD).
Labs are limited one support payment per lab (not institution) per year, and priority may be given to labs who have not received funding in the recent past.
We encourage all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity to further their education and research. For any inquiries or clarifications, please contact Charles Metzger at cmetzger(at)srsweb.org.
Thank you for your interest in the SRS travel awards. After you submit your complete application, you should receive a response within approximately two weeks.
